How many a town have We destroyed while it was doing wrong?

Who were driven away from their homes for no other reason than they said Our Lord is God.

who were expelled from their habitations without right, except that they say 'Our Lord is God.'

Those who have been driven forth from their abodes without justice, except because they say our Lord is Allah.

Those who were unjustly evicted from their homes, merely for saying, Our Lord is God.

In the time of his distress, he trespassed yet more against Yahweh, this same king Ahaz.

And many a township have We destroyed while it was given to wrong doing, so that it lies in ruins (up to this day), and (many) a deserted well and lofty castles!

How many towns have We destroyed because their people were steeped in iniquity so they lie fallen down upon their turrets!

How many a township have We destroyed while it was sinful, so that it lieth (to this day) in ruins, and (how many) a deserted well and lofty tower!

If someone does so through oppression or injustice, We shall cast him into Hell This is how (the Law of) God works inevitably.

And whoever does that through injustice and oppression, We shall soon put him in the fire and this is easy for Allah.

But whosoever does that in transgression and wrongfully, him We shall certainly roast at a Fire and that for God is an easy matter.

And whosoever doth that in transgression and wrong, presently We shall roast him in Fire and with Allah that is ever easy.

And whoever commits that through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for Allah.

Whoever does that, out of hostility and wrongdoing, We will cast him into a Fire. And that would be easy for God.

And whoever does this by way of transgression and injustice him shall We surely cast into the Fire that indeed is quite easy for Allah.

Whoso doeth that through aggression and injustice, we shall cast him into Fire, and that is ever easy for Allah.

These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaks proud things), showing respect of persons to gain advantage.

Do not lean towards the wicked, or you will be caught in the flames of Hell, and have none to befriend you other than God, nor will you be given help.

And lean not on the evildoers, so that the Fire touches you you have no protectors apart from God and then you will not be helped.

And lean not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and ye have no protectors beside Allah nor ye would then be succoured.

And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, nor you would then be helped.

And do not incline towards those who do wrong, or the Fire may touch you and you will have no protectors besides God, and you will not be saved.

And do not incline towards the wrong doers lest the Fire might seize you and you will have none as your protector against Allah and then you will not be helped from anywhere.

For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of Yahweh, and turned their backs.
