Perchance, we've just been mislaid.

They wander (astray) in clear error.

Those are in manifest error.

They are in an error manifest.

They are in plain error!

Such are indeed in obvious error.

Such are in plain error.

They may haply take heed for themselves.

These! they are the straying ones.

And they are those who are astray.

Indeed such men have altogether strayed.

And such are those who are astray.

They have made their oaths a shield in order to obstruct others from the way of God.

They have taken their oaths as a covering, then they have barred from the way of God.

They have taken their oaths for a shield then they turn away men from the way of Allah.

They have made their oaths a screen (for their hypocrisy). Thus they hinder (men) from the Path of Allah.

They treat their oaths as a cover, and so they repel others from God s path.

They shelter behind their oath, and thus hinder their own selves and others from the Path of Allah.

They make their faith a pretext so that they may turn (men) from the way of Allah.

In a few cases they made exceptions and held that treaties of a private law character were not abrogated, but only suspended. After the Second World War, the courts wavered somewhat on the general abrogation rule.

Those who denied and turned away from the path of God, have wandered far astray.

Indeed those who disbelieved and prevented (others) from the way of Allah, have undoubtedly wandered far astray.

Surely those who disbelieve, and bar from the way of God, have gone astray into far error.

Verily those who disbelieve and keep others from the way of Allah, have surely strayed far away.

Verily, those who disbelieve by concealing the truth about Prophet Muhammad SAW and his message of true Islamic Monotheism written with them in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and prevent (mankind) from the Path of Allah (Islamic Monotheism), they have certainly strayed far away. (Tafsir Al Qurtubi). (See V. 7 157)

So when they turned away (from the Path of Allah), Allah turned their hearts away (from the Right Path).

Those who disbelieve and repel from God s path have gone far astray.

And when they swerved, God swerved their hearts.

Those who denied this truth and barred others from the way of Allah have indeed strayed far.

So when they deviated, Allah made their hearts deviant.

Lo! those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the way of Allah, they verily have wandered far astray.

So when they went astray Allah sent their hearts astray.

If both of you two (women) turn to God in penitence (it would be better).

If you repent to God, then your hearts have listened.

If the two of you turn in repentance to Allah (that is better for you), for the hearts of both of you have swerved from the Straight Path.

They have taken their oaths as a shield, thereby prevented others from Allah s way indeed they commit extremely evil deeds.

It is He Who knows best who strays from His Way, and He knows best the rightly guided ones.

And We tried them with good (blessings) and evil (calamities) in order that they might turn (to Allah's Obedience).

Among them are those who believed in it, and among them are those who held back from it.

And We tested them with fortunes and misfortunes, so that they may return.

whereupon some of them believed, and others turned away.

And of them were (some) who believed therein and of them were (some) who turned away from it.

And We have tried them with good things and evil things that haply they might return.

They profess to be pure.

Theirs whose effort is misspent in pursuit of the pleasures of the world, even though they think they are doing good things.
