I have had an inspiration.

So I decided I had this crazy epiphany at two in the morning.

In 1975, a light went on in somebody's head.

They say How is it that no sign was sent by his Lord (to His Prophet)?

And they say, Why is not a sign sent down upon him from his Lord?

They say 'Why was a sign not sent down upon the prophet from His Lord?

And they will say If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord!

(So it was) till then there came Our Command and the oven gushed forth (water like fountains from the earth).

Thus it was until Our command came to pass and the oven boiled over.

Had it not been for a favour from his Lord he would have been cast blame worthy on a barren plain.

Were it not for his Lord s favour that reached him, he would have surely been cast onto the desolate land, reproached.

They say, 'Why has a sign not been sent down upon him from his Lord?'

Had there not overtaken him a blessing from his Lord he would have been cast upon the wilderness, being condemned.

And they say wherefore is not a sign sent down unto him from his Lord!

Had not grace from his Lord reached him, he had surely been cast into the wilderness in a plight.

And they say How is it that not a sign is sent down on him from his Lord?

Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him), so he was cast off on the naked shore, while he was to be blamed.

And they say, If only a miracle was sent down to him from his Lord.

Were it not for his Lord s favor that reached him, he would have been thrown into the wilderness, fully despised.

had his Lord not bestowed His favour upon him, he would have been cast upon that barren shore (and would have remained there) in disgrace.

Had it not been that favour from his Lord had reached him he surely had been cast into the wilderness while he was reprobate.

Their gods, whom they invoked besides God, availed them nothing when the command of your Lord arrived.

And when the command of your Lord came to pass, the gods besides Allah whom they had called upon, did not avail them in the least.

Among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in God, and in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed to them.

And among the People of the Book some believe in Allah and what has been revealed to you, and what has been revealed to them.

When your Lord's chastisement descended upon them, their gods, on whom they called apart from God, were not of the least avail, and all they did was only to add to their destruction.

And We did not oppress them at all, but it is they who wronged themselves therefore their deities, whom they worshipped other than Allah, did not in the least benefit them when your Lord s command came and due to them, they increased nothing but ruin.

And We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves their gods availed them not that they called upon, apart from God, anything, when the command of thy Lord came and they increased them not, save in destruction.

So their gods, whom they called upon beside Allah, availed them not in aught, when there came the decree of thy Lord, and they added unto them naught but perdition.

So their aliha (gods), other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them naught when there came the Command of your Lord, nor did they add aught (to their lot) but destruction.

We wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves and their gods on whom they call beside Allah availed them naught when came thy Lord's command they added to them naught save ruin.

Certainly among the people of the Book are some who believe in God and in what has been revealed to you and had been revealed to them and they bow in humility before God, and do not trade for paltry gain the signs of God.

And undoubtedly there are some among the People given the Book(s), who accept faith in Allah and what is sent down to you and what was sent down to them their hearts are submitted humbly before Allah they do not exchange the verses of Allah for an abject price they are those whose reward is with their Lord indeed Allah is Swift At Taking Account.

And some there are of the People of the Book who believe in God, and what has been sent down unto you, and what has been sent down unto them, men humble to God, not selling the signs of God for a small price those their wage is with their Lord God is swift at the reckoning.

And verily of the people of the Book there are some who believe in Allah and in that which hath been sent down unto you and that which hath been sent down unto them, humbling themselves before Allah, and barter not the revelations of Allah for a small price, these they shall have their hire with Allah.

And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah.

And lo! of the People of the Scripture there are some who believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto you and that which was revealed unto them, humbling themselves before Allah.

They will answer Certainly but then you let yourselves be tempted, and waited in expectation but were suspicious and were deceived by vain desires, till the decree of God came to pass, and the deceiver duped you in respect of God.

But you had put your souls into trial, and you used to await misfortune for the Muslims, and you doubted, and false hopes deceived you until Allah s command came and the big cheat had made you conceited towards the command of Allah.

They shall say, 'Yes indeed but you tempted yourselves, and you awaited, and you were in doubt, and fancies deluded you, until God's commandment came, and the Deluder deluded you concerning God.

They will say 'yea! but ye tempted your souls, and ye Waited, and ye dubitated, and your vain desires beguiled you until the affair of Allah came, and in respect to Allah the beguiler beguiled you.

But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction you doubted (in Faith) and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allah came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah.

They will say, Yes, but you cheated your souls, and waited, and doubted, and became deluded by wishful thinking, until the command of God arrived and arrogance deceived you regarding God.

The believers will reply Yes but you allowed yourselves to succumb to temptations, and you wavered and you remained in doubt and false expectations deluded you until Allah's command came to pass, and the Deluder deluded you concerning Allah.

They will say Yea, verily but ye tempted one another, and hesitated, and doubted, and vain desires beguiled you till the ordinance of Allah came to pass and the deceiver deceived you concerning Allah
