The Advisory Committee recommends appropriation of the amount requested.

The Board continued its practice of financing requests for training and seminars, and recommended an amount of 50,000 for the organization of six workshops.

To support the transfer of expertise to commercial banks in Kiev, the creation of a European Banking Advisory Service has been supported by Tacis with ECU 1.6 million.

It is proposed that a provision 6,500 be made for an estimated three trips between The Hague and Geneva for that purpose.

Also decides to appropriate an amount of 1,842,200 under section 34, Staff assessment, to be offset by a corresponding amount under income section 1, Income from staff assessment, of the programme budget for 2004 2005.

11. Decides to appropriate an additional 2.5 million dollars for the Development Account

The Government of Chile has decided to allocate in 2003 2006 about US 30 million to upgrade Route 11 CH and A 55 roads, main highway links connecting Bolivia to the Chilean ports of Arica and Iquique.

An amount of 300,000 is also needed for road salt.

A provision of 1,215,200 is proposed for communications for 2005 06, an increase of 35.8 per cent over the resources approved for 2004 05 of 895,000.

Information on appropriations and expenditures is included in paragraphs 44 to 48 of the report.

Decides to appropriate the required amounts, as contained in the report of the Secretary General A C.5 59 27.

18. It is estimated that a provision of 299,100 would be required for travel of staff in connection with the meetings of intergovernmental organs.

Consequently, the General Assembly is requested to appropriate 33 million as a subvention to the Special Court for the period from 1 January to 31 December 2005, under special political missions of section 3, Political affairs, of the programme budget for the biennium 2004 2005.

Taking into account its recommendations in paragraph 16 above, the Committee recommends that the estimated budget requirements of 46,328,400 for the maintenance of the Mission be reduced by 686,600.

As stated in paragraph 125 (g) of his report, he requests the appropriation and apportionment of that amount.

The General Assembly, under the provisions of paragraph 3 of its resolution 59 294, decided, inter alia, to appropriate a total of 20 million for the subvention for the Special Court for Sierra Leone for the period from 1 January to 30 June 2005 under section 3, Political affairs, of the programme budget for the biennium 2004 2005.

Provision is made under this heading for the purchase of petroleum, oil and lubricants based on current prices and on actual experience, as follows

Provision had therefore been made in the amount of 17 million in the revised cost estimates for the period from 1 May to 31 July 1993.

It will also be necessary to appropriate the amount of 100 million gross previously authorized and assessed in accordance with General Assembly decision 48 469.

A provision in the amount of 200,000 is proposed to enable the Department of Peace keeping Operations to implement a training programme in 1993.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has to spend significantly less on government, politicians and bureaucracy so that it can spend significantly more on its citizens.

The Committee requests the Assembly to appropriate that amount against the contingency fund, to be used for the functioning of the Institute in 2006.

15A.2 A provision of 127,800 is proposed to cover the cost of translation and editing of the MULPOC reports and documents.

The Advisory Committee had recommended maintaining the original authority of the General Assembly to appropriate 100 million and to assess that amount on Member States.

By its resolution 58 303 of 18 June 2004, the General Assembly appropriated an amount of 33,589,200 (gross), equivalent to 2,799,100 per month, for UNOMIG for the period from 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2005.
