The constant pressure overload of the left atrium will cause the left atrium to increase in size.

The human heart is made up of four major chambers the right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, and left ventricle.

So it goes into the left atrium.

And in the left atrium, the blood is entering and remember, the left atrium is on the right hand side from our point of view on the left atrium, the blood is entering from above from the lungs, from the pulmonary veins.

And then it flows into your left atrium.

Blood flows from the right atrium to the right ventricle, then it goes to the lungs and from the left atrium to the left ventricle.
